"Otter-ly" Exhausted
In this 10x20” charcoal drawing I wanted to capture the River Otter’s playfulness, emotion and connectivity. 5 River Otters are napping on a rock in the early morning in between fishing sessions.
The Adirondack River Otter lives in lakes, streams and beaver ponds in areas in elevation of 2,200+ feet above sea level. The region’s largest member of the weasel family can get up to 3-4’ long and weigh up to 30 lbs. It was a fun project to draw these playful, strong and talented swimmers and hunters.
